The culmination of many years of local planning and advocacy, the new Washington Park Skate Spot is Escondido’s first modern concrete skatepark.

I was a resident of the city in 2013, returned to advocate for a skatepark strategy with Escondido Recreation in 2016, and again in 2020 as designer for New Line Skateparks.  After extensive site planning and analysis, concept development and community engagement, the new skatepark offers a well-rounded, accessible, plaza-style space with vibrant colors, pathways and custom seating.
