In 2018, the city of Greeley, Colorado established a network of three new skateparks to replace its aging prefabricated skateparks.
With the creation of a planned skatepark network, the city of Greeley was able to better serve the community and increase access for users in different neighborhoods. This strategy also allows these spaces to express a unique aesthetic character and type of terrain, from a modern geometric plaza to advanced transition and a DIY style renovation. Each park contains an integrated skateable sculpture by Joshua Goss, a collaborative result of a shared design process between sculptor and skatepark designer.
