Senior Designer, New Line Skateparks (2017-2024)

  • Landscape designer responsible for design development, quality and cost control, client management and contract administration for skatepark projects in Canada and the USA.

  • Extensive experience from end to end in design/build custom concrete landscapes, ranging from public engagement to technical drawings and construction coordination.

Operations Manager, Skateistan South Africa (2015 - 2016)

  • Project manager for Skateistan’s newest education center and skatepark in downtown Johannesburg, South Africa, consisting of a 4-story school building constructed of recycled shipping containers and a 500 m2 concrete skatepark.

  • Lead skatepark designer, coordinating construction with specialized contractors and in collaboration with New Line Skateparks.

Operations Intern, Skateistan - Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan (2014)

  • Responsible for design and construction management of Afghanistan’s first concrete skate plaza at their second Afghan skate school in Mazar-e-Sharif. Worked with local staff and students to develop a multi-function space with skateable pathways, gardens, shade, sports fields, and a central gathering space in the traditional Rub el Hizb formation.

Design Production - California Skateparks, Carlsbad CA (2013)

  • Responsible for drafting of skatepark construction documents and specifications, as well as cost estimation, design input and community outreach.

  • Work included coordinating project documentation with a broad design & construction team as well as with local municipalities, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Assistant for local landscape design firm responsible for planting design, cost estimation, procurement and implementation at residences and vineyards.

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (2012)

  • Graduate specializing in design of active public spaces and ecological restoration projects, with a senior thesis focused on community oriented skatepark design.

Member, ASLA

  • Ongoing professional development through the American Society of Landscape Architects in accessibility, urban planning and community development, PLA licensure currently in progress.
